May 1969, Piccadilly Circus – A young Richard E. Grant was wide eyed in wonderment when he firstsaw the Eros Fountain, people crammed with patchouli perfumed hippies, worlds away from his home in Swaziland.

The scent of patchouli and petrol proved indelible. The aroma of Earl Grey Tea with it’s Bergamot baseat Fortnum & Mason and the leather chairs, were a complimentary Piccadilly mix. Seeing the ground breaking musical “Hair”, featuring full frontal nudity and catching sight of people in see-through clothes in Soho, ignited a hormonal ‘rocket’ storm, topped off when Neil Armstrong stepped down from a real one, when he set foot on the moon that July.

Richard has bottled these heady memories, combining patchouli, petrol, bergamot, leather, musk and ginger. Once again, he worked in tandem with ‘Nose’ Alienor Massenet in Paris who expertly refined his formulas.

Like JACK and JACK-COVENT GARDEN, the 100ml bottle is sleeved in a Union Jack draw-string calico bag with luggage label attached to personalise once opened. And as the inscription reads on the base of the packaging ' I've been lead by my nose all my Life.

  • Top Note: Bergamot
  • Middle Notes: Ginger, petrol
  • Base Notes: Leather, musk, patchouli
  • Perfumer: Alienor Massenet
  • Created: 2016
