Expose, Explore and Explode Your Inner Bombshell
Adored by Marisa Tomei, Mariah Carey, Lisa Marie and Drew Barrymore, The Bombshell Manual of Style was pivotal in exploding the revival of iconic Bombshell consciousness. (It's even referenced as a Trivial Pursuit question and made a cameo appearance on “Sex and the City.”) We love the playful illustrations by the debonair Ruben Toldeo. We love the sheer joy and knowing intimate secrets about Bombshell lingerie, jewelry, tantrums, body language , and what books she reads..and doesn't. We were amused to learn how a Bombshell amuses a man. And we don’t mind a bit that the authors
reference Aedes de Venustas as a Bombshell haunt on page 63 but you should know that there are now not one, but two cute little dogs lounging around the shop. (We were thrilled to help out with research on scents Bombshells like on men—Gary Cooper wore Creed’s Epicea and Frank Sinatra wore Creeds’ Bois du Portugal.
Here’s what The Bombshell Manual of Style has to say about two of our spring favorites:
Gardenia Passion by Annick Goutal
Intense. Dramatic. Think laughter, the kind where your head is thrown back in abandon. The Bombshell adores it on summer nights in outdoor cafés, lawn and gazebo parties. Enhanced by white, off white, oyster and ivory silk satin, eyelet and chiffon.
Spring Flower by Creed
The pink bottle is why she smelled it in the first place, but she was head over heels once it blossomed on her pulse points. The Bombshell wouldn’t dream of attending a smelly sporting event without the appropriate fragrance, and Spring Flower is one of her high-pitched floral favorites. She relies on it for the Triple Crown, heavyweight championships and polo matches.
