At its heart lies one of perfumery's most treasured materials: iris cultivated, harvested, and transformed by Danner & Flemming in Lower Bavaria. Rich in precious iris butter and extract, the fragrance reveals the flower's most captivating facets - powdery yet fresh, airy yet substantial, with a soft mineral glow that seems to float above the skin.

A vibrant bouquet of jasmine sambac, orange blossom, and tuberose lends brightness and grace, while bergamot, pink pepper, and cassis create a sparkling opening reminiscent of the first warm rains of spring. Beneath it all, patchouli provides subtle depth and structure, allowing the iris to remain the undisputed protagonist.

Named after the rare Altesse grape of the French Alps, celebrated for its freshness and elegance, Iris Altesse embodies a similar sense of refinement and radiance. The result is a fragrance of timeless sophistication - powdery, luminous, and quietly unforgettable.

As a true millésime perfume, production is limited to the yield of a single iris harvest. Selection 2026 is limited to just 609 individually numbered bottles.

Each presentation box contains a slice of the very iris rhizome from which the fragrance was born, along with a vial of pure iris essence - the precious heart of the composition.

ABOUT DANNER & FLEMMING

Founded in Bavaria by farmer Christian Danner and biologist Marcel Flemming, Danner & Flemming is one of the few perfume houses in the world to cultivate, process, and transform its own iris into fragrance.

What began as a scientific research project evolved into a pioneering agricultural and perfumery venture centered on one of the world's most precious raw materials. The iris rhizomes are grown for years in the fertile soils of Lower Bavaria before being harvested, carefully dried using a patented refinement process, matured, and transformed into highly concentrated extracts and precious iris butter.

Created in collaboration with master perfumer Antoine Lie, each fragrance showcases a different iris variety grown by the founders themselves. Produced only from the annual harvest, every perfume is a limited millésime edition, with each bottle individually numbered.
