Tanger - Parfum
Tangier, or Tanger in French, occupies a world of its own at the meeting point of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Long a magnet for artists, intellectuals and adventurers, the Moroccan city captivates with its shifting light, cosmopolitan spirit and intoxicating sense of freedom.
Beyond the medieval ramparts, the Medina unfolds as a vibrant maze of steep, winding passageways, timeworn façades and vivid blue doors. Hidden within this exhilarating disorder lies an unexpected oasis: a lush botanical garden scented by ancient bitter-orange, orange and lemon trees, their blossoms and fruit mingling in the warm air.
Perfumer Sylvie Fischer of Takasago translates this secret garden into a composition both luminous and enveloping. Bergamot and mandarin illuminate the opening before giving way to smooth neroli and the honeyed warmth of orange blossom. Green, herbaceous maté brings an aromatic contrast, while soft musk lends a quiet sensuality and holds the fragrance close to the skin.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Designers of furniture and white ceramics Ivan Pericoli and Benoît founded their company, Astier de Villatte, in 1996 in association with friends and family. Successor to the parisian manufactures of the 18th century, satire de village is now the only major studio to keep the tradition of artisanal ceramic production in Paris alive.
In 2000, they opened the boutique at 173 rue Saint Honoré, which also presented their other creations for the home: titanium cutlery, borosilicate glassware and above all the wonderful collection of traditionally printed notebooks.
In 2008 they decided to join forces with a big name from the perfume world and together begin creating luxury scented goods. Working with their associates Emilie Massed and Françoise Caron, the star pefumer at Takasago (a Japanese fragrance company) Astier de Villatte's range of scented products was born.
